What’s the best advice you could give to a new digital artist?
Draw. Do your art. Your computer and tablet are tools, nothing more. No course will improve your skill as much as doing, doing, doing what you are trying to learn. Creating excellent art is lonely work. It has little to do with social activities, and everything to do with focusing on the art you are creating.

What are the little things in life that you enjoy?
“I saw your art in the Beanery. My favorites are …”
“I love your work! I was wondering if I could come by your studio and …”
“I bought your print of _ at _ winery.”
“I’ll buy it.” (That’s my favorite.)

Comments like these are typical and common. They tell me that my art is connecting with people who see it. If that doesn’t happen, what’s the point?
